Reporting to Senior Director, Commercial Operations, the Senior Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for multiple business-critical capabilities for Kiniksa. These include ensuring that broad set of field-facing tools and reporting is optimized for efficient use and understanding and that the field teams, field leadership, and commercial leadership are sufficiently trained on these resources; and analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of sales and marketing tactical execution. This is an important role to enable Kiniksa to measure its commercialization efforts, to identify opportunities to better drive adoption of ARCALYST through the generation of deep insights, and to drive operational excellence.

The Senior Manager, Sales Operations will have high visibility to senior leadership and will be expected to represent the sales operations function at appropriate sales and commercial leadership meetings, present and operationalize recommendations, and work closely with members of sales, marketing, patient services, finance, and compliance teams.

This role must be based in one of our office locations in Lexington, MA, San Diego, CA or London, UK. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Manage development of intuitive and dynamic sub-national reporting, KPI dashboards, and insights capabilities in Tableau to support field force execution and address executional, operational, and performance-related questions
  • Analysis of sales and marketing tactical execution data and metrics
  • Deliver regular actionable reports to field leadership and drive cadence of sales business reviews
  • Effectively collaborate with sales training to establish robust education of reporting platforms used by field force to ensure adequate understanding of the information presented and effective use to drive the business
  • Provide IT team with business requirements for enhancements to datalake / commercial datamart infrastructure in support of enabling near real-time insights
  • Partners with field stakeholders to understand critical business questions and recommend analytics methodologies aimed at answers/guidance to support decision making
  • Proposes innovative approaches for the business to create additional value through improved utilization of new and existing data assets and technology platforms
  • Support field leadership in streamlining day-to-day operational imperatives
  • May provide support for key operational functions such as incentive compensation, fleet, targeting, alignments

Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA or BS (MS or MBA preferred) with 3+ years of relevant sales operations, sales effectiveness, business intelligence, or insights & analytics experience
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech or Lifesciences experience required
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in developing complex dashboards in Tableau is preferred
  • Proven ability to partner with IT on establishing business rules for reporting layer within a data warehouse
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, Veeva, and Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing data from a broad range of commercial data sources (CRM data, specialty pharmacy dispense/status data, specialty distributor data, patient services data, payer claims/formulary status data, etc.)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills-able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations
